Quote Journal sources

Dear Fellow Journalers,

Along with Bartlett’s, there are a number of sites that will help you either start or fill in quotes for your journal. Here are a few I have used:

I always start with search engines like Bing or Google

Word Ghosts and choices

Dear Fellow Journalers,

Ghost Words have choices.

“Do or do not. There is no try.” Yoda (voiced by Frank Oz ( of Sesame Street) Star Wars Episode 5)

“Standing in the middle of the road is very dangerous; you get knocked down by traffic from both sides.” Margaret Thatcher

“I avoid looking forward or backward and try to keep looking upward.”Charlotte Bronte

Quote Journal covers

Dear Fellow Journalers,

The following journal covers represent an extremely small population of journalists who save quotes:

Word Ghosts

Dear Fellow Journalers,

Word Ghosts only want to be themselves;

“Believe you can, and you probably can.”  Denise

“The bravest thing you can do when you are not brave is to profess courage and act accordingly.”Corra Harris

“When I dare to be powerful – to use my strength in the service of my vision, then it becomes less and less important, whether I am afraid.” Audre Lords

“If you can’t change your fate, change your attitude.” Amy Tan

Types of quotes and “Ghost words”

Dear Fellow Journalers,

The following is a rather long list of themes if you will of quotes. I won’t attempt to publish examples of all of them, but I have been assembling most of them. I call them “Ghost words” – things I wish I’d said. When I have 3-5 of each type they will appear on this blog or on My Collaged Life (Facebook page). Be on the lookout – you won’t know when they will appear!
