Word Ghosts are fearless

“Be fearless. Have the courage to take risks. Go where there are no guarantees. Get out of your comfort zone even if it means being uncomfortable. The road less traveled is sometimes fraught with barricades, bumps and uncharted terrain. But it is on the road where your character is truly tested and have the courage to accept that you’re not perfect nothing is and no one is and that’s ok.”   Kathy Couric

Courage and Hope

Dear Fellow Journalers,

The following 8 Courage and Hope Sayings “article” was given to me years ago on retreat. I kept it in my journal and want to share it with you. Please feel free to share.

~Sallie

Courage…

does not always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying,”I will try again tomorrow.”

Courage…

is not the absence of fear. Courage is the presence of fear with the willingness to face it.

Courage…

is moving into the unknown. It is leaving the past and allowing the future to be.

Take courage…

The cave you fear to enter holds the treasure you seek. (Joseph Campbell)

Stress is…

an ignorant state. It believes that everything is an emergency. Breathe. You have everything you need.

Hope …

is knowing that you are greater than anything that will ever happen to you.

Do not pray…

for courage… for God has already given it to you. Pray instead to receive the courage that is living within you right now.

February Prompts

Dear Fellow Journalers,

Some of these prompts are rather “deep” ……………………..

If you had to be someone else for 24 hour, who would you choose and why? What would you do?

What ‘excess baggage’ are you carrying around?  Create a list o fall the negative things you would like to drop off at

lost property. How will you feel when you release them?

What is some of the best advice you ever received?  Have you followed it?

What does courage mean to you?

Today is Ash Wednesday. What does it mean to you?

~Sallie

Random Thought on courage

breakfast-in-bed-1

Remember to seek out anything that stirs your heart and soul, and every morning put a teaspoon of courage in your coffee, tea or orange juice and be ready to take on the challenges and opportunities of the day.
