Dear Fellow Journalers,
Along with the many video and books that are published almost daily there are two that I used when I tackled this journal:
“The Mindfulness Journal – a 52 Week Planner” published by Centennial Media 2020, and “A Book that takes its time.”

Dear Fellow Journalers,
Do you have a pet peeve? One of mine is the addiction to electronics. Now, I admit I am somewhat addicted to my Kindle. I watch u-tube presentations, read e-mails, listen to music etc. The one thing I don’t do is read at the dinner table. I am sure that you have seen this scenario: a family is in a restaurant presumably to eat a meal together but no one is talking. They are all on their devices. Has everyone lost the ability to communicate? Could I be a happier person if I left my e-mails alone in the morning?
You’ve all heard that you should wait to check your e-mails first thing in the morning. Your routine consists of shutting off the alarm, reaching for your glasses, mumbling “good morning” to your spouse, sliddiling your feet into slippers and checking your inbox at the speed of sound!
Well, one of my self-help goals was to become more productive so I chose to leave my Kindle in another room over-night and wait to check emails until mid-morning. That simple act had consequences! One I couldn’t spend a lot of time reading e-mail messages or “doing” FaceBook and Two, a lot of chores kept me from enjoying what had become an enjoyable experience. I did seem to have a lot more time in which to do chores through. Funny how that worked out!
