Dear Fellow Journalers,

Take time out for yourself. Put your feet up, grab one of your favorite holiday books, munch on some cookies and recharge your batteries! At this time of the year, it’s easy to get caught up in the mad dash to the mall to buy the “latest and the greatest.” For some people, however, this is a time of great sadness. There are people everywhere who may be sick, lost loved ones, are estranged from family. Taking time out for yourself helps you re-focus on what’s really important this season. Why not bake an extra dozen cookies and drop them off to your lonely neighbor? A “Thinking of you” card to a person who’s struggling. There are hundreds of ways to cheer up people and guess what, while you’re “paying it forward” that exhausted feeling you had a little while ago is Now Gone!
