The Last Page

Dear Fellow Journalers,

For those of you who write yearly journals, what do you put on the last page? You bravely managed the dreaded first page; you conquered the middle and now, success (!) you have reached the end. You probably want to end the thoughts, projects and stories so that you can begin a new chapter in your life. Here are some suggestions:

  1. Tear the last page, deckle-style and use a water-color wash.
  2. Use a sticker or postcard.
  3. Add a photo of yourself and your surroundings. Years later when you re-read this year, you’ll see what you looked like.
  4. Go to the first page. Re-read the first post or two. End your journal with a recognition of how far you’ve come and finally, don’t forget to write:
THE END
‘Til next time,
Sallie

2015 in review

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2015 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

A San Francisco cable car holds 60 people. This blog was viewed about 2,400 times in 2015. If it were a cable car, it would take about 40 trips to carry that many people.

Christmas

Dear Fellow Journalers,

No matter how you say it, I wish you a very Merry Christmas! Thanks for following UYCJ this year.

Joyeux Noel – In any language, we send you love and peace at Christmas.

Christmas waves a magic wand over this world, and behold everything is softer
and more beautiful. Norman Vincent Peale

Celebrate the Season!

In the stillness of the this holy night,
May Christ’s peace be with you!

I believe in Santa!

Joy is the spirit of Christmas.

May the candle you light to Peace at this holy season be reflected in all the windows of the world.

Like snowflakes gently covering the world,
may the Peace and Joy of the season
descend softly on your home.

Let it snow!

May you have all the right ingredients for a happy holiday season.

A few words of wisdom from Frosty (the Snowman)!

“It’s ok to be a little bottom heavy.”
“Don’t get too much sun.”
“Be a happy, jolly soul.”
“It’s fun to hang out in your front yard.”
“White is always appropriate.”
“Carrots are good for you.”

Happy Hanukkah.

and finally,

Merry Christmas!
