November Journal Prompts

Dear Fellow Journalers,

I don’t know about you, but October was a weird month for me. Mother Nature and the witches of the season tried a few tricks on us in the north eastern USA. There were perfectly beautiful fall temperatures -just crisp enough to grab a favorite sweatshirt and some downright hot days as well. Oh, and don’t forget the snow we experienced yesterday!

So now as we look forward to November, I wonder what the days have in store for us. Some of us are battling illnesses, some greater fears (Covid 19, unemployment, dwindling food supplies, rent vs mortgage crisis and of course America’s election results!) and some, like me – what are our holidays going to look like this year.

Time to do a little planning. So my journaling friends, ponder, if you will, the following:

What are your goals this month?

If you’re not with family, should you decorate for Christmas?

What favorite movies or tv shows should you binge watch this month?

Is this the perfect time to delve into that 750 page book you received last Christmas?

Is it time to Dr-clutter your email in-box?

Blog about your deepest regrets and highest achievements.

~ Happy November!

Chicken short cuts

Dear Fellow Journalers,

I am all for tasty, fast dishes that save time and money. While pursuing the poultry counter at the grocery store last March, I discovered Perdue Short Cuts. These are chicken pieces all cut up ready for your culinary inspiration. I like to cut the pieces into bite size pieces and after making Lipton chicken-flavored rice, add the chicken and heat through. See below for another recipe:
