10 Reasons

Dear Fellow Journalists,

10 Reasons why you should write hand written letters:

Writing letters as opposed to texts and emails are permanent. Letters are treasured for years. Countless books and songs have been written about them and so, in a nod towards letters, here are 10 reasons to write them.

Powerful words are worth reading again and again.

Writing makes you happier, or so says research. It seems that when you pour your heart out on a page, you actually may experience friendship and beauty in a whole new way.

Taking the time to send a thoughtful note shows how much you cherish a relationship or a marriage. On a personal note, the letters my husband writes mean more than the store thought cards he finds at our local Hallmark.

Letters set you apart – they make you look good.

It helps you pursue long enough to say things that matter. You write because there’s something you need to say, not something you need to know.

It creates a special surprise in your friends/relatives mail box.

Hand writing letters is as old. as time, and you’ll see when you read the unsent letters.

Writing is a medium everyone can relate to.

It’s a chance to show off your handwriting – the unique way you end your sentences or the flow of your writing.

It’s easier than you think.
