The Last Page

Dear Fellow Journalers,

For those of you who write yearly journals, what do you put on the last page? You bravely managed the dreaded first page; you conquered the middle and now, success (!) you have reached the end. You probably want to end the thoughts, projects and stories so that you can begin a new chapter in your life. Here are some suggestions:

  1. Tear the last page, deckle-style and use a water-color wash.
  2. Use a sticker or postcard.
  3. Add a photo of yourself and your surroundings. Years later when you re-read this year, you’ll see what you looked like.
  4. Go to the first page. Re-read the first post or two. End your journal with a recognition of how far you’ve come and finally, don’t forget to write:
THE END
‘Til next time,
Sallie
