Dear Fellow Journalers,
A Creativity Journal is about ideas, imagination and the process of creating something new. Unlike the Quote Journal or even the Reading Journal, this type of journal encourages you to write your ideas and inspiration while creating. The idea of making this type of journal came to me in May of this year. I make and sell greeting cards using rubber stamps and die cuts. I participated in a craft fair last year and found that I needed more inventory that I had to sell. I decided to start this year’s cards early so I would have plenty of time to research, create, decide on sentiments and pricing.
As I began the process, I found so many different avenues (magazine articles, Pinterest boards, e-mail newsletters, notes) that I began to get overwhelmed! I took my own advice and opened a blank journal. On my first page I wrote:
” Creativity is inventing, experimenting, growing, taking risks, making mistakes and having fun!”
‘Til next time,
~Sallie
