Good to hear from you. The themes of love and gratitude are so important, but unfortunately, they are in short supply these days as evident of what is happening around us.One of my favorite childhood songs is “The Rose” by Bette Midler. The nuns would sing that song when I was in school. The last verse which goes, “Just remember in the winter, far beneath the bitter snow, lies the seed that with the Son’s love, in the spring becomes the rose.” Those lines remind me of love and hope. How appropriate to remember on a day like today with a snowstorm outside. One of my favorite traditions is when I was a child and teen, I would gather with my family and relatives on Sunday afternoons (when the stores were closed) and on the holidays and special occasions. There was always a lot of smiles, hugs, love, warmth, and gratitude in the atmosphere. Today, those days are gone and sadly so many of my loved ones have passed, but the memories of days gone by are with me forever and are a beacon of hope especially during difficult and trying times. What a great prompt to post and share.!!! Thank you and may love, gratitude and tradition always be an integral part of your life.Until next time, stay safe, be well, and God bless.
