Bright Future- anyone need sunglasses?

Dear Fellow Journalers,

Today’s Random Thought comes from “G”. Enjoy!

~SallieSunshine

I casually asked a salesman ‘How are you?” His answer knocked my socks off! He said his future was soooooo bright he needed sunglasses to keep from going blind!

I like buying from optimistic salespeople. Can’t stand buying from ho-hum ones. Optimistic people brighten my life.

When our business was complete, I asked Mr. Optimistic why he was so “up.” It’s simple he said. He figured that he sold about half the people he talked to. The person before me he talked to didn’t buy. When he saw me, he figured it was his turn! That’s why his future was so bright, he needed sunglasses!

Wouldn’t it be great if we all had Mr. Optimistic’s attitude!? Think about it! Even if our average isn’t has good as his, surely we all can average 3 out of ten!? So that should give us something to look forward to even if we get seven straight “no sales.

Until the next time, get out there and keep asking for the “sale.” Sooner or later, someone will say yes!

Being Brave

You’ll never be brave

If you don’t get hurt.

You’ll never learn

If you don’t make mistakes.

You’ll never be successful

If you don’t encounter failure.

Makes a great first page for the new year!

A New Year

Dear Fellow Journalers,

A new year is fast approaching and to some of us, it’s a time of reflection, a time to “change things up”, or a time to dream again. People change with time and so do their aspirations. Over the years I have heard from a lot of people what they resolve to do each new year. Some of them are:

  •      quit an addiction
  •      go back to school
  •      get fit/healthier
  •      learn something new
  •      travel
  •      get more organized
  •      get a make-over
  •      give up a bad habit

Some of us believe that a new year is a time to transform our lives. Some transformations to aspire to this year could be: teach others a new skill (like stenciling) start a journal , open the door to creativity and finally be ONE for someone this year. I  saw this while surfing. It so inspired me that I printed it out to glue into my journal. My question for you is will YOU be the ONE for someone else this new year?

Have a safe and happy NEW YEAR!
